Historic Buildings - Example Project

JB Archaeology Ltd ArchaeologyJB Archaeology Ltd ArchaeologyJB Archaeology Ltd Archaeology As part of the requirements for funding under the High Level Stewardship scheme, JB Archaeology Ltd has undertaken the recording of a number of historic farm buildings and in one case a medieval deer park. The study of the farm buildings frequently recorded previously unknown construction and details of use, along with the survival of historic threshing machinery. The study of the deer park at Ravensworth found that probably up to 80% of the medieval park pale survived in situ.

In additional to various agricultural buildings, a survey of the 18th century Providence smelt works at Greenhow was undertaken. This refined the details of the layout of the complex and added several additional features to the site.
