Church Archaeology - Example Project

JB Archaeology Ltd Archaeology As part of the requirements for diocesan faculties JB Archaeology Ltd has undertaken a range of monitoring on various works within and around historic churches. Typically these involve dealing with human remains disturbed during the excavation of service trenches. On occasion previously unrecognised features come to light such as a medieval mass dial at Kirklington church and the carved 14th century face at Thornton in Craven.
